"Angel Birth" is a 'picture book for the end times', containing over
20 pages of visceral illustrations and prints by Noelle Richard,
harmonizing with a prose/poetry piece by Marianne Agnes. The book
tells the story of a silent voyeur witnessing the birth of an angel,
her all-powerful newborn confusion wreaking environmental destruction
in its wake. Noelle's visuals of barren Midwestern and Southern
landscapes weave a shared imagistic language with Marianne's writing,
depicting scenes of these two artists' motherlands and the present
death befalling them both.
