But more importantly, read about how 2006 was one of the most exciting, scary, and sad years of my life. Navigating my first crush on a girl, first real relationship, bullying, and conservative parents. This story is relatable to any queer person growing up in any decade. Images, references, and colors in this zine all call back to how the internet felt in the early 2000s. At least how my MySpace page felt (if you didn't know, you could code it yourself and customize your page!). I loved neon colors, Fall Out Boy references, and J-Pop songs I learned from DDR.
