  • Truth Serum zine features my hand-cut collage art accompanying lyrics that have personal meaning to me, as well as an essay on a time in my life when I found the song significant. I describe this zine series as mining for memories through music & songs in order to connect current and past selves.

    In issue #2 I use lyrics by Carla Werner from her early 2000s song Departure, and talk about depression and loneliness, dating troubles as an insecure young woman, and ultimately finding my identity.
