Make Like a Tree & Gréta Arnarsdóttir - ÞOKA CASSETTE TAPE

• I had the good fortune of spending a month in Iceland earlier this year for a writer’s residency, and little did I know that just two weeks after my residency ended, Make Like a Tree, whose album Mothernight I’d released in 2019, would tour the country and record an album with singer Gréta Arnarsdóttir. Out of that collaboration comes ÞOKA, which translates to fog, an album of electronic and ambient music that evokes the moody and ever-changing nature of the weather in Iceland’s capital city of Reykjavík.

  ÞOKA is available as a yellow + blue cassette of the EP. All purchases will include a digital download of the EP. Single art for þjóðsöngur is by the excellent artist Thorgrimur, and the cover art for ÞOKA is by the wonderful Styrmir Örn Guðmundsson.

  Cassettes are currently limited to 50 copies.
