Georgia the Cat: A Memoir of Time Spent with My Cat Friend ZiNE

TW: This zine deals with the death of my cat friend, Georgia. It’s very sad. It’s also funny, genuine, hopeful, and sweet. But be warned, it’s sad.

Georgia the Cat: A Memoir of Time Spent with My Cat Friend is a 40 page, half-sized zine. It’s roughly 14,000 words, the font is in Georgia (of course), and it was lovingly illustrated by my friend (and a friend of Georgia’s!) Mellen of mellenmade.com. This zine is the story of my relationship with my first dear cat friend, Georgia. I adopted her when she was 12 years old on New Year’s Eve of 2012, and she passed away on February 24, 2015. I’d adopted her just a month after moving out of my parents’ house and into my first apartment. I miss her very much, and this is my tribute to our short life together.
